The GHV Administration and GHV Post Prom Committee are excited to announce that we will be working together to hold the 2021 GHV Prom! We find ourselves in unprecedented times which requires a lot of “thinking outside of the box” to be able to hold a safe, enjoyable and memorable prom for our students.
With social distancing being one of our major concerns, it has been decided to hold the Grand March, dance, food, entertainment and post prom prizes at the Legendary Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake on Saturday April 24, 2021. This venue was chosen for its abundance of space and overall splendor. Due to the Surf's hours of operation, all of these events will take place from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am. Prom attendees will stay in their formal dress attire the entire evening. The exact schedule and time of events is tentative at this time, but we anticipate it will be similar to the following:
7:00 pm - Grand March
8:30 pm - Dancing, Contests, Prizes and Snack Food
10:00 pm - Entertainment
11:00 pm - Dancing Resumes and More Contests and Prizes
1:00 am - Prom Concludes
Students and parents will receive correspondence in the form of e-mails and high school daily announcements. A finalized schedule of events and times, Jr. Class meetings, attendee consent forms and registrations, along with various other items pertaining to Prom will be coming in the near future. Jr. Parents, please be on the lookout for an email very soon regarding the 1st upcoming planning meeting.
