In celebration of National Pie Day, St. Paul Lutheran Church will host its 15th Annual Homemade Soup & Pie Luncheon from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday, January 20, 2022.
The soups include beef noodle, broccoli-cheese, chicken noodle, Chili, potato and vegetable Beef. There will be a wide variety of pies to choose from, hopefully your favorite!
A freewill donation will be accepted with proceeds going to missions and projects within the church.
St. Paul Lutheran Church is located at 810 State Street in Garner. The luncheon will be held in the church basement so entrance may be gained through the west door or the handicap/elevator entrance on the east side of the education wing. Take out is available.
National Pie Day was started in the mid-1970s by a Boulder, Colorado nuclear engineer, brewer and teacher, Charlie Papazian. Charlie declared his own birthday, January 23, to be National Pie Day. Since 1986, National Pie Day is sponsored by the American Pie Council. (Wikipedia)
